We inherited more than land—we inherited projects, old tools, and a chance to build something new together. So I quit my job and got to work.

Kismet Properties came out of a hard stretch. After my dad passed, there was a period of standing still, figuring out what to do next. My sister and I sat in that for a while, circling the what-ifs, until I pitched an idea. She trusted me to take the lead and care for what he’d built—not to overhaul it, but to maintain it, clear the overgrowth, and bring the place back to life.

And to finally finish the projects, clean out the garages, organize the workshop, and decide whether we really needed a drawer full of weed-whacker parts from 1993.
