Kismet Cabin Details

The layout resembles a duplex, with two distinct living areas connected by an interior door. It’s ideal for groups who want to be together but still enjoy a little privacy and space to spread out.

Inside you’ll find:

Occupancy: The Kismet Cabin is approx 1500 square feet and can comfortably accommodate 8 people. (For larger parties, please inquire—we occasionally make exceptions.)

Outdoor Spaces: Outside, there’s plenty of room to breathe. A large wraparound deck offers space to gather and grill, while the covered front porch—complete with a swing—is made for slow mornings or evening chats. Around back, a small deck equipped with Adirondack chairs overlooks perennial gardens, native plantings, and a quiet woodland garden—tucked away and perfect for an afternoon wander or a peaceful moment alone. Just beyond, a fire pit with reclining camp chairs offers a cozy spot to gather and unwind as the sun dips behind the trees.

Location: Just a short walk from Blueberry Lake and the surrounding trail network, guests enjoy easy access to paddle boarding, swimming, mountain biking, and hiking. We offer a selection of lake gear (paddle board, kids kayaks, floats) that guest may reserve for use at Blueberry Lake. The Mad River Valley also offers weekly farmers markets, brewery stops, art walks, and scenic drives through some of Vermont’s most beautiful countryside.

Whether you’re reconnecting with friends, bringing family together, or just craving a stay that feels connected to its surroundings, our Kismet Cabin offers a true Vermont experience—refined, comfortable, and full of quiet charm.

Coffee & Tea: We offer both a drip and a French press coffee maker. We supply fresh beans from Vermont Coffee Company and ground Starbucks French Roast. For each reservation we start you off with a small container of whole milk (or half & half upon request). Guests will also find a kettle and selection of both herbal and caffeinated teas as well as hot chocolate.

Bathroom Amenities: Each bathroom is thoughtfully stocked with plush towels (regular and oversized), hair dryers, clothes steamers, and makeup cloths. You’ll also find our “Oops, I Forgot” basket—filled with essentials like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and hair ties—and eco-friendly lavender mint shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Books, Games, and Puzzles: We keep shelves stocked with a mix of board games, card decks, and puzzles, plus a small library of books—including field guides, thoughtful nonfiction, and a few well-loved novels. You’ll also find magazines like Northern Woodlands and National Geographic, perfect for flipping through after a day outside.

For The Littles: Families will find everything they need for a comfortable stay with kids, including a cozy kids’ nook stocked with picture books, finger puppets, art supplies, and soft toys. We also provide a child-size bathroom stool and, upon request, a Pack ‘n Play with fresh sheets.
